Build the learning loop, not more friction.
Project home
The DontDumb GitHub organization is the project home. Public source/release availability follows the project’s release process; the website does not imply that every repository or installer is public.
Work locally
In an authorized source checkout, install the existing dependencies and use the repository scripts:
npm test npm run build:codex npm run build:opencode npm run package:trial
Packaging is separate from publication. Do not upload local learner state, credentials or machine-specific configuration. No license grant is implied by source access; check the repository’s actual licensing before redistribution.
Contribute a behavior change
- Describe the observed problem and intended outcome.
- Reproduce a logic failure with a meaningful regression.
- Keep observation, model access and UI behavior in their owning adapter/runtime layers.
- Verify the actual host path; synthetic checks do not establish user-visible delivery.
Maintain the boundary
Never gate coding on a lesson or answer. Do not forward every streamed token, assume full repository context, or bypass hook trust. Learning tools must validate results and respect cancellation. State commits belong to the runtime.
Useful feedback
Did an opportunity arrive while you were waiting? Was it relevant? Could you explain the concept afterward? Did you return voluntarily? Keep content and assistance evidence distinct from engagement counts.
